Peter BrzezickiA native of Poland, Peter is a full-time member of Riverview (NB) Fire and Rescue, which provides fire, medical, and rescue services. Before coming to Canada, Peter received extensive experience in mountain and cave rescue, having participated in big-wall mountain rescues and numerous other searches and emergency interventions with the professional mountain rescue group in Poland. In 1980, the Officer’s Academy of Fire Fighting, Warsaw, Poland, appointed Peter as a High Angle Lifesaving Instructor. He has numerous certificates and letters of recommendation from his course leaders and peers.
Peter is a career Fire Fighter/Paramedic specializing in Technical Rescue, is a Red Cross First Responder Instructor, and has completed Parks Canada’s Cliff Rescue Course. He joined a local ground search and rescue team in southeastern New Brunswick in 1990 and was the lead instructor of their High Angle Rescue Team for many years.
