Job Descriptions

General Comments on Staff Expectations

There is a detailed and extensive document available regarding expectations of the Cape Enrage Team which is discussed at the interview. However we mention here the expectation we have of applicants:

Given that staff are extensively trained to work professionally and competently, extended time off is not possible. We cannot bring in substitutes to fill your place if you are absent.   Existing staff are discouraged from filling in on their days off because it requires them to be on the job 15 days in a row with no break. By the 7 th day, they are not working their best.

Staff are expected to start work as soon as they are released from their respective educational institutions or when specified by the Directors, whichever is later.

With the understanding that staff who are attending post-secondary institutions may be required to leave before the Labour Day weekend, we do require staff to continue working until it is absolutely necessary to leave work.

During the interview we will be asking your dates of availability so do the necessary investigation before you arrive.
